SCORES TO GO by Joana Braga (Lisbon/PT, 2019)
Performative walk carried out within the scope of the project "Material for Future Excavation" and as part of the (ALMOST) Teatro do Bairro Alto program.

“From above you can see the whole city. Can you see the whole city?”
Scores to go begins with an invitation by Joana Braga to artists Andresa Soares, Flora Paim, Fernando Ramalho, and Tânia Moreira David to collectively compose, under her artistic direction, a performative route through a central area of Lisbon, along an axis drawn between Amoreiras and Poço dos Negros.
"A silent walk, carried out in small groups of four or five people, each guided by one of the artists in turn, that explores different forms of perception and practices of attention to the places, architectures, gestures, and affects encountered and simultaneously generated along the way. In doing so, it also questions the usual modes of (in)attention that accompany our paths through the familiar spaces of the city.
Scores to go also seeks to prompt a reimagining of the choreographies of access to the less public areas of the zone where it unfolds, in order to reveal what is still to be seen and heard—thus opening space to critically rethink how we relate to the materiality, temporalities, and uses of this fragment of the city."
