Photo-performance and series of textile flags (125 × 85 cm). Presented at the exhibition No Departures Without Arrivals (ZK/U Berlin/DE, 2024) and at the meeting Ruins and Vegetation: Uneasy Coexistences between Art and Architecture (Casa São Roque, Porto/PT, 2025).
Series of fabric flags conceived as devices of presence and enunciation in urban vacant grounds. Through short phrases and graphic elements, the pieces compose a kind of baldio manifesto, activated through photo-performances in the investigated sites. The flags communicate questions related to the cultural construction of the notion of empty space, to disputes between property and the common, to the suspension of dominant regimes of productivity, to relations between natures and cultures, and to the forms of informal appropriation that traverse these places.
Baldio é comum = Wasteland is common land
Desconfia do vazio = Doubt the void
Descampado cultivado = Cultivated wasteland
Pausa selvagem = Wild pause
