Scores to Walk, by Joana Braga (Lisboa/PT, 2019)
A performative walk carried out as part of the project Matter for Future Excavation and within the cycle (QUASE) Teatro do Bairro Alto.
"You can see the whole city from up there. Can you see the whole city?"

Scores to Walk takes as its starting point Joana Braga's invitation to the artists Andresa Soares, Flora Paim, Fernando Ramalho and Tânia Moreira David to compose collectively and under her artistic direction a performative walk through a central area of Lisbon, along an axis drawn between Amoreiras and Poço dos Negros.
"A silent walk, in small groups of four to five people guided by one of the artists each time, which explores different forms of perception and practices of attention to the places, architectures, gestures, and affections that it crosses and simultaneously engenders. In this way, it also questions the usual modes of (in)attention that accompany our journeys through the familiar places of the city.
Partituras para ir also seeks to recreate the choreographies of access to the less public places in the area where it takes place in order to unveil what is still to be seen and heard, and thus open up space to critically rethink the way we relate to the materiality, times, and uses of this part of the city."
